ALMS GREEN ELITE PERFORM AT MOSPORT, SECOND CONSECUTIVE YEAR
At Mosport International Raceway for the Mobil 1 presents the Grand Prix of Mosport, PHR HPD ARX-01c crossed the LMP green finish line first while the No. 4 Corvette Racing ZR1 took the GT environmental checkered featuring its E85 fuel selection.
To date, the American Le Mans Series presented by Tequila Patrón has awarded 14 different teams with green accolades since its inception in 2009. All entries are known for running on one of five approved alternative fuels/energy sources while also testing and developing innovative technologies that improve the efficiency of their race cars.

GREEN RACING RECAP
LMP: Patrón Highcroft Racing’ David Brabham and Simon Pagenaud won their third MICHELIN® GREEN X® Challenge award in 2010. This was the team’s fourth win overall and their first back-to-back win at Mosport. Last year, Brabham and Scott Sharp piloted the Acura ARX-02a to first in LMP.
What made this win even more special was that this race marked the 100th ALMS career start for David Brabham – one of the Green Racing ambassadors of the Series, who when asked where he is from, stats that he is a “citizen of planet earth”.
Overall in the championship, the green performance measurement ranks PHR in first, Muscle Milk Team CytoSport in second – as the team of Klaus Graf and Romain Dumas earned second-place points in Mosport - and Drayson Racing’s Paul Drayson and Jonny Cocker in third.
Dyson Racing Team collected third place points in Mosport but remain in fourth place in the championship.
GT: The No. 4 entry of Corvette Racing won the first MGXC win in 2010 and second in its history. Similar to PHR, this was the veteran No. 4 pilot Oliver Gavin’s second win at in consecutive years at Mosport for the environmental honor; however, for this race he raced with a new seatmate, Jan Magnussen - one of the drivers from the No. 3 sister Corvette Racing car. For Magnussen, this was his second 2010 MGXC victory and fifth overall achievement.
In the championship standings, the No. 45 Flying Lizard Porsche remains in first with the two Corvette Racing entries holding second and third place. The No. 3 Corvette entry claimed second-place points at Mosport.
Next on the schedule will be the season-finale at Road Atlanta – Petit Le Mans powered by Mazda2. This race is the second longest races of the season – a 1,000 mile/10 hour endurance classic and environmental challenge.
